I cannot understand, how people who claim to be NDP and hold liberal values, vote NDP. I just can’t understand. These politicians all at one time or another, have been caught at some bad things.
For example,
We have an NDP candidate, Jill Andrew, who stated the Toronto Police Chief should win a coon award. Who herself is a black woman who describes herself as a fat queer black woman.
Why is it tolerated that a black person can call others coon? Why wasn’t she kicked out the party for racism? If a white person had said that, we all know the media backlash would have been immediate and swift.
Then we have Andrea Horwath, who recently was found to have a meme that was anti Hitler. Yet, this was apparently a bad thing to be against Hitler and therefor she was forced to apologize, claiming that she never posted that, but someone else must have.
Why did she even have to apologize for that? Even if she had posted it, it was a meme making fun of the leader of the Nazi regime. What, now we can’t make fun of him or the Nazi’s?
Gurratan Singh, who in his 20s was an anarchist, who was anti police and was found to be part of protests against police. Who claims now he works within the law and has turned his life around.
Why do the supporters of these bad people, support them? Yes, they did these things years ago, but as we have seen from the #metoo movement, and Roseanne’s very recent firing, we know it should not be tolerated and justice needs to be swift and decisive. Yet, the media who is a prime example of pushing their favorite candidates in a positive light, while putting candidates like Doug Ford in a bad light.
The bias is there, if you have an open mind. The racism, sexism is rampant in the NDP. Just as it is in the Liberal Party.
The NDP are no better than the liberals. They are just a little less racist. A little less sexist, and hold to almost the same ideals of progressives. Tax, tax tax. Give away free things and open the borders to all.
I know who I will be voting for. It won’t be liberals or NDP. That’s for damn sure.
