Free Speech vs Hate Speech

I recently got into a debate on this (again), and for some reason people cannot fathom that hate speech laws are a form of censorship.     Worse yet.   We have the mayor of Ottawa Jim Watson, who has been in his office since the beginning of time, who openly now tweets and states that he is for the stiffing of speech because he finds it “vile”.

Mayors blast ‘pro-rape’ men’s meetings planned for Canadian cities

I tweeted him and stated that wanting to censor free speech is wrong, and he responded by calling me vile for supporting the guy  who wants to open a dialog about the rape laws.

Reasonable people understand that rape is bad.  We all know this.  No one condones rape.   The problem lies with the idea and definitions of rape.

Feminist supporters think rape can be this magical thing that can happen at any point.     Let me explain.

They (Liberals and Feminists) believe that (I’ve written about this before),

  1.  A man and a woman who BOTH get drunk, BOTH consent to sex and have sexual intercourse is rape.    Why?  A woman is apparently unable to consent while drunk.
  2. A woman who goes home with a strange man, gets drunk, takes drugs and gets naked, has sex with the strange man but doesn’t remember having sex has been raped.
  3. A woman who consents to having sex even when sober and then regrets the experience a week later, has been apparently been raped.

Do you notice the trend here?     Women are not responsible for their actions but men are despite being equal in things.

So this Return of Kings guy is calling for a debate and discussion about the rape laws if it occurs in your own home.

I get what he is saying and while I don’t agree entirely, with much of what he says, I understand that freedom of speech means being able to talk about things that people may find vile or abhorrent without repercussions from government.

As far as Mayor Jim Watson is concerned the idea of questioning the idea of rape laws is abhorrent.    This is the type of people in power and have been in power for a very long time.

I tweeted back the mayor stating the differences, that hate is the calling for 90% of men to be castrated or killed via the #killallmen hashtag.   Or the Drinking Male Tears meme which is common among rich white sorority girl feminists who do not understand basic concepts of freedom of speech.

Using these laws to shut down talk and discussion that you “FEEL” is wrong is not a valid reason.   Free Speech is a double edged sword.    I’m gay and I’ve heard the debate and discussion when gay marriage and even back when gays were not accepted as they are now.    I may not have liked what was being said but I never wanted to stop people from speaking their minds on subjects and having rational discussions.

Jim Watson, Justin Trudeau, if a woman or a man goes home with a stranger, and has spent a night flirting and implying they are interested in having sexual intercourse, and they go to either one’s home, get drunk or even not.    Get naked and have sex, and one party regrets it the next day, that is not rape.     Neither is it when you get drunk, and get naked in someone else’s bed.   That is called implied consent.   I know this concept is foreign to you but it is a real thing.    Penalizing someone for wanting to speak their mind on the subject or banning someone from speaking is called censorship.

And censorship is a form of oppression and hate.    Hate of true freedom.

Dear World, Justin Trudeau doesn’t represent Canada.

Dear World Population,

First I would like to thank you for reading my open letter.   I know that you are busy, so I will try to keep this short.

Justin Trudeau does not represent Canada.     Yes I know, he is the PM of the crown corporation of Canada, and claims he is the representative.    However, I will state this.   He does not represent the values, nor the ideals of the majority of Canadians.

How can he be the PM then you ask?    Good question.   First, and foremost, the majority didn’t vote for him.   Believe it!

The problem with our voting system is our leaders are chosen years in advance.   The media manipulates their audience with back and forth promotions to make it seem like it is a fair and honest election.     As I have written in the past about elections  and the process I won’t get into here, except that our votes don’t matter and that we do not live in a democracy.    If we did the people’ who removed their votes would be counted.   In this country though, the people who don’t vote are left behind.     In reality only a very small percentage of the Canadian population actually voted in the last election and of them an even smaller number voted liberal.

You see in our country, we are forced to vote for a party, not an individual.   So if you like the candidates objectives in your riding and vote for them then the party gets the seats in parliament.   This means that the person who is head of that party gets to be PM of the country.      If you don’t like the leader of the party but feel the only there is one candidate who falls in with your values or ideas of how the country should be run but hate the leader of that party, you really only have 2 choices.  Vote anyway or not vote at all.    Last election, the major portion of the population didn’t vote.

Now I know what your thinking.   “Then vote and make a difference”.   It doesn’t matter.   After speaking with Elections Canada, they informed me that even if only 10 people in the whole country voted then then we would still have a PM and the government would still run.

That is NOT a democracy.

So again, Justin Trudeau does not represent Canadians or our values.    His mindset is of third wave feminism which is about elevating women, giving them things like money, jobs, opportunities simply based on their gender instead of actually earning those things.

Recently he called for all Canadian’s to “embrace feminism and not be scared of it”.     This caused an uproar in the comment section of every media source that printed an article about this.

Canadians’ do not like third wave feminism.    Canadians believe in real equality, not the brand of equality that takes from men who have earned their money, job etc, and giving to to women simply because they are women.        This brand of feminism goes against the original brand of feminism that was about women having the right to work along side men and earn the same money and the same promotions as men.    Not be handed those positions, without earning or working for it, simply based on the the anatomy.

The original feminists who fought back in the 60’s speak out against this current crop of so called feminism.

In this country we believe in fair treatment.   We believe if you work hard in your career, and put in the time, sweat and tears into your job then you deserve and should move up the ladder.    You don’t get handed the board of directors position simply because you have a degree in gender studies.

To listen to our PM and see his efforts on behalf of feminism you would think we are all feminists, and we are definitely not.     It’s time to call out third wave feminism by all.  Time to call out the PM for pandering only to an ideal that puts men less than women instead of on equal footing.    It’s time to shout down this nonsense from all sources, and stop this before it really becomes harmful on our society.

Canada used to be peacekeepers, and the majority of us still believe we can be this again.
Canada used to be accepting of other cultures and groups.    We believe we can be this again.

Canada used to accept all religions and faiths and we believe we can be this again.

Don’t let Justin Trudeau’s  face fool you.    He is on a leash being controlled by third wave feminism, and he doesn’t speak for us.

And Justin, if you are reading this, understand this, you are a tool for the feminists.   You are not a feminist.   They will throw you under the bus the minute you are no longer a use to  them.    A man cannot be a feminist, that is like a black person supporting the slavery of black people.    Stop pandering to them and start representing Canada.  The real Canada.    Otherwise you may lose your job.

Calling all so called victims – Your actions have repercussions.

HELL

One thing I hear about each day, is case after case of men who have been accused of rape or sexual assault in the papers.    I barely read those articles anymore, simply due to the fact, they are all the same.   The person accused had plied the poor victim with booze or drugs, or had met the poor victim at a party, got drunk together, and then the poor victim went home with the accused and then well, rape.

If you have been a victim of rape, it can be traumatic.   We all understand this.   I have had two attempts of rape happen to me.

Being a victim doesn’t mean you are blameless.   It means something bad has happened to you.   It doesn’t mean you are not responsible, nor does it mean you are one hundred percent blameless.

I’ll use the current Cosby case as an example.   Here is a woman who admitted under oath, that she went over to Cosby’s Hotel Room. of her own free will.   He offered her drinks and she accepted willingly.   He offered her drugs.   She took voluntarily.

I’m stopping there.

This is why I don’t think is much of a victim.  Well, sorry, rather she is a victim of her own actions.    She accepted the booze, and drugs of her own free will.  He didn’t force her to drink and do the drugs.  He didn’t hold a gun to her head.

Does this excuse Cosby if he did it?    No it doesn’t, but it does give a clear idea of what the situation was at that meeting.   And shows the woman was using poor judgement, and was at least a victim of her own stupidity.

Now I’ll give more detail to my two experiences.
I’ll start off by stating (I’ve mentioned in other blogs), that I’m gay.   In my younger days I used to go to bathhouses.   These were and are places were gay men of all ages go to have sex.   They had reached their height in the Nineties when gays were not yet accepted and there was still a danger to go to a gay bar.   It was also a great place for those who were still in the closet to go and have sex.

Now on this night, I had been out drinking at a dance club.  I had gone to the bathhouse (because I didn’t find anyone at the bar to go home with), and got a room.    In bathhouses when you rent a room it’s this tiny room with this cheaply made bed in it, with a vinyl covered mattress and thin cotton sheet.    Everyone who goes to a bathhouse, can either rent a locker or a room, and you are given a towel to wear and that’s it.    Basically your naked in a towel and wander around until you find someone you want to have sex with.    Or, like me you can rent a room and wait for the guy to come to you.     This doesn’t mean you can’t be choosy.   In fact many people who go to these places are.   We all have our types.

Anyway, I was laying on the bed with the towel barely covering me, when this really, really drunk guy showed up at my open door.  I got a bad feeling so I told him no thank you, but I wasn’t interested (this is the politest way there to let the person know to go away).    The guy however, had different ideas and came in and shut the door.   He proceeded to try to throw my legs above his shoulders and penetrate me.    I used both feet on his chest and threw him off, which he flew backwards into the wall.   That wasn’t enough and he again tried.     And again I threw him off.   Banging his head hard on the wall.   After a third try he left my room.

I didn’t call the police and even though I was a victim of an attempted rape, it was still my fault.   I knew this at the time and to this day I don’t blame that guy.   I put myself in that position and I knowingly ran that risk.   This is the risk you take when you go and and sexually tease strangers.  It’s not pretty but it’s true.  When you sexually tease people, you run the risk of pushing the wrong button on someone that will set them off.

The second time, that I consider attempted rape, was when I lived in BC.  I lived in this gay hotel and was in the lounge drinking and chatting with the cute bartender.   I was happily drinking and at the end of his shift he offered to take me to his room.    I drunkenly agreed.   We got up to his room and I promptly passed out.  With my jeans and underwear on.    The next thing I remember was waking up and I was naked with him inside me.  I had no recollection of even going up to his room or half the night at the bar.  So I freaked out.   Pushed him off em and accused him angrily of raping me.     He was horrified.   He apologized profusely and even sent me flowers the next day.    I realized after that he wasn’t at fault.  I was.  I had accepted his offer to go to his room and that was implied consent.   I was the one who made the mistake of 1.  Accepting free drinks from him, 2.  Going up to his room in that state.   So I in no way put the full blame on him.

Now fast forward to today and you get you Social Justice Warriors who think that a victim has zero responsibility in their actions and I am telling you that you are full of it.     You are not blameless.     What you wear is important, your actions before hand are important and how you interact with a person are important.    If you tease and tease someone, and then say “No no, no!” you are risking pushing that button on that person who is not mentally stable.     If you accept drinks from strange men and then go home with them, expect they want to have sexual intercourse with you.

If you accept drinks from strangers, if you go home with strangers, then you run the risk of rape or sexual assault.    There is a good chance you will be going home with someone decent.   Don’t get me wrong there, but if you’re going home with a new guy every week or every few days, then the odds are pretty good that you will end up being a statistic.

Now, here is the advice.     You are in control of your life.  That means you have to accept responsibility for your actions, and as such, take precautions.   Learn self-defense, carry pepper spray.   Make sure a friend knows where you are going etc.

This is not taking any responsibility of a crime off the criminal.  What this does is help stop you from becoming a victim and the crime from happening in the first place.

It’s like a car.  You don’t go parking your car in a crime riddled neighborhood and leave the doors wide open and the keys in the ignition.  If you did that and your car gets stolen, were you asking for it?   Yes.  The person who stole the car is still a criminal but you can bet your sweet ass you asked for it, by doing that.

Same with going home with strange men, teasing them, and then denying them sex.    Most men will put up with that and respect your choice, but go through enough men and the odds are you will find one who won’t respect your saying No No.

I really hope this gets passed on and the message gets through to at least some people who believe that no victim is at fault for their actions because as I have just shown, that isn’t correct.

Dress Codes and Fashion Choices.

Business

I was on Facebook and someone had shared someone else’s post a sign that really got to me.  I thought about that sign and realized that the kids in schools don’t understand nor do they care or or simply not being taught anymore about a “time and a place” rule.   Instead they rally behind the “I want, want want” cry whenever they want something without thinking about if it is really appropriate or not.   Now I understand kids will usually take the opposite stance and get their hackles up, which is normal teen behavior.  This is why parents need to step up and explain what clothing is appropriate to certain situations.

Take the above photo.  That is clothing appropriate to an office environment.  Professional people who wear appropriate clothing in the work place.   Sane people understand this and understand that wearing clothing that is meant for beaches, is not appropriate for an office.   Like these outfits:

Crazy-sell-2015-Men-Women-Beach-Swimwear-Lovers-Couple-Swimming-Sport-Wear-Beach-Shorts-top-quality

This is what the currently crop of people and feminists are screaming about.  They want to wear clothing meant for summer and beaches to places of work and education.

Then there is the other problem with the post I had read.  Here is the image so you can understand.

11836731_1640955776161097_1502715658279897919_n

In case you can’t read it here is what it says

“When you INTERRUPT a girls school day to for her to CHANGE CLOTHES, or SEND HER HOME, because her shorts are too SHORT or her BRA STRAPS are VISIBLE, YOU are telling her that making sure BOYS have a “DISTRACTION FREELEARNING ENVIRONMENT is MORE IMPORTANT THAN HER EDUCATION.

INSTEAD OF SHAMING GIRLS FOR THEIR BODIES, TEACH BOYS THAT GIRLS ARE NOT SEXUAL OBJECTS. ”

I will break down the problems with this type of thinking.

  1.  This is the most important one.    This type of thinking disregards boys.  It tells them that girl’s rights to wear clothing they want, is more important than their education,  by NOT giving boys a distraction free environment.

2.  It ignores the fact that there are reasons why clothing that is revealing is inappropriate, and tells girls it’s perfectly okay to wear what you want no matter where you are.    You wouldn’t wear a bikini at a funeral or at an office, so it doesn’t make sense why you would wear hot pants and a bikini top to school, but this is what these kids want.

3.   It doesn’t prepare them for the real world or even University.   When they get to University they are considered or used to be considered adults and as such they will be treated as such and wearing inappropriate clothing to a class could have serious problems.

4.  This places responsibility on the men.   Men have eyes and are visually stimulated.  Women get angry with the boyfriends or husbands when the guy looks at another woman.  Even for a few seconds, and now they expect them not to look when girls are showing to much skin in a place that they are supposed to be learning for their future.

I’m going to approach the idea from a different angle.    If your so worried about wearing what you want to a place of learning then maybe your not focused on the right direction.  Maybe, just maybe you should focus on your education and not worry about fighting dress codes.

Wear black somber clothes at funerals

Wear scrubs when working in a medical environment

Wear Suits to offices

Wear swimwear to go swimming.

Clothing appropriate attire for appropriate occasions.
